Volunteer Opportunities
Give the gift of your time and investment this Thanksgiving when you volunteer at our 16th Annual Love Your Neighbors Thanksgiving Day Lunch. Bring your family and spend part of your Thanksgiving Day loving our neighbors in our community. A beanie hat purchase of $25 is required for each volunteer position. Funding received through the purchase of each beanie hat directly contributes to providing a meal and a welcoming Thanksgiving experience for our neighbors, as well as supporting our community throughout the year.
To sign up for a volunteer position, select the “Sign Up Today” button under the position you are interested in. If you have multiple people in your party interested in different volunteer positions, please ensure that you sign each attendee up under the respective volunteer position by navigating back to this page and selecting the position your additional attendees are interested in.
Invitation Distribution
November 17th, 10:00 A.M. – 4:00 P.M.
Assist with passing out invitations to our neighbors for our Thanksgiving Day lunch. Volunteers will meet at the Elevate Branson campus, join a van route assigned to visit various neighborhoods in our community, and distribute invitations by going door-to-door. All ages are welcome, and there is no hat purchase requirement for this volunteer opportunity.
Set-Up/Decoration
November 22nd, 10:00 A.M. – 2:00 P.M.
Assist a team of volunteers the day before Thanksgiving with decorating, setting up tables and chairs, and other items needed for the event. Some heavy lifting may be required.
Food Runners [0 spots available]
Thanksgiving Day, 9:00 A.M. – 11:00 A.M.
Utilizing an Elevate Branson van, assist with picking up food items at Golden Corral or Famous Dave’s and bringing the items to the event. This position requires a valid driver’s license and you must be insurable.
Kitchen Team [0 spots available]
Thanksgiving Day, 9:00 A.M. – 2:30 P.M.
Assist a team of volunteers organizing food and serving in a serving line set up. Plate food, help keep food items warm, and help with clean up post event. Must be at least 16 years old.
Table Companions [60 spots available]
Thanksgiving Day, 10:00 A.M. – 1:30 P.M.
Sit and share a meal with individuals and families on Thanksgiving Day. Give the gift of compassion, conversation and community to our neighbors who may be spending Thanksgiving Day alone.
Food Servers [0 spots available]
Thanksgiving Day, 10:00 A.M. – 1:30 P.M.
Take orders from guests at tables in your section and serve dinner. Clean and reset tables, clean any spills, take out trash and other duties as assigned.
Event Clean-Up [13 spots available]
Thanksgiving Day, 1:30 P.M. – 4:00 P.M.
Once all guests are finished with their dinner, assist with post-event clean up. Take out trash, help take down decorations and put away tables, along with other duties as assigned.
